LiquidGold Fertiliser FAQs: Expert Answers to Your Garden Questions

Hello, fellow gardener. There are few things more frustrating than seeing a plant you've worked so hard on start to struggle. The good news is that most common gardening problems have simple solutions, and a truly healthy garden starts with the right foundation. My team and I have spent our lives nurturing plants and solving these issues, and we believe that the best products are those that work with nature to help you get the best results. Here are the answers to some of the most common questions I hear.

Common Gardening Problems & Expert Solutions

Why are my plant's leaves turning yellow?

This is one of the most common questions I get asked, and it's a clear sign that a plant is under stress. While it can sometimes be a sign of overwatering or old age, it is most often a symptom of a nutrient deficiency, particularly a lack of Nitrogen, Iron, or Manganese. The great news is that LiquidGold Dual-Mix Super Feed™ contains a complete blend of these nutrients, including Iron Chelate, which your plant can absorb quickly and easily to correct the problem and restore its lush, green colour.

Why are my tomatoes getting Blossom End Rot?

Blossom End Rot is a frustrating problem that causes a sunken, rotten spot at the base of your fruit. The issue is not a disease but a Calcium deficiency caused by inconsistent watering or a lack of Calcium in the soil. LiquidGold contains a crucial component of Calcium to help prevent this problem. The best way to manage it is by ensuring your plants get deep, regular watering, and you can help with that by using a good layer of mulch around the base of the plant to help retain moisture.

My fruit tree is producing small, shrivelled fruit. What's
wrong?

This problem is often caused by poor nutrition or a lack of water, which are the two most critical factors for a healthy fruit tree. The best way to prevent this is to ensure you're watering deeply and regularly, especially during the summer months when the tree is fruiting. A regular feeding schedule with a complete feed like LiquidGold provides the Potassium and Phosphate that are essential for high yields and healthy fruit.

Why aren't my orchids flowering?

If your orchid isn't flowering, the most likely culprit is a lack of light. Orchids need bright, indirect light to
produce blooms. However, a lack of Phosphorus or Potassium can also be a factor. LiquidGold Dual-Mix Super Feed™ provides a balanced diet of all the nutrients your orchid needs to produce those beautiful blooms, and because it is a liquid, it can be diluted to provide a gentle, consistent dose.

How can I thicken up my lawn?

A lush, thick lawn is a joy to behold. If your lawn has sparse patches, it's often a sign that it is lacking the nutrients it needs to thrive. A regular feeding schedule with a complete fertiliser is a great way to thicken up your lawn. LiquidGold provides a full range of nutrients to promote healthy growth and a strong root system, which will help fill in those sparse patches.

The following table explicitly links common garden problems to their causes, the key ingredients in LiquidGold that provide a solution, and practical, expert-level advice for the gardener.
